Same Soup, Different Story

I keep thinking about this thing—the bean soup theory.

It’s one of those internet phrases that sounds stupid until it absolutely isn’t.
The idea is simple: someone watches you make bean soup. They see the beans, the broth, the seasoning, the whole process. They are right there for all of it.

And then they walk away and confidently say,
“Ah. So you made…chili.”

And you’re like…no?? You literally watched me??

That’s the theory.

Same information.
Completely different conclusion.

And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
